About

About ListenerReader

What was actually said on the podcasts worth listening to.

ListenerReader is a publication about podcasts, made by people who actually listen to them. We follow the shows that drive the conversation, find the moments worth knowing about, and write them up with context and analysis. Every story points you back to the full episode so you can hear it for yourself. We launched in June 2026.

Who we are

We are a small team of podcast fans, writers, and editors. We are not affiliated with the shows we cover, and we are not paid by them unless stated otherwise. Our job is to be a useful, honest guide to a medium that now produces more good conversation in a week than anyone can keep up with.

How we work

There is too much podcast audio for any one person to track. We use technology to help us watch the landscape, surface the episodes that look newsworthy, and organize transcripts so our writers can work quickly. That technical assistance comes from poddisco, which helps us aggregate, filter, and sort what is being said across the shows we follow. The judgment about what is worth covering, and the writing itself, is ours.

We quote directly and we attribute clearly. We link to the original episode every time. We do not publish full transcripts, and we do not pretend a recap is a substitute for the real thing. If a story is built on a single moment from an episode, we tell you which moment and where to find it.

Corrections

We get things wrong sometimes, and when we do we fix them and say so. If you spot an error, a misquote, or a missing piece of context, email [email protected] and we will review it.

Ownership and funding

ListenerReader is published by an independent media company based in Wyoming. The publication is editorially independent, and ownership does not direct coverage of specific shows or guests.

We are supported by advertising and affiliate arrangements. When a link or a piece is sponsored or pays us a commission, we say so. We are not paid by the shows we cover unless stated otherwise. Business and partnership inquiries go to [email protected].
