Candace Bushnell
Candace Bushnell is the author whose New York Observer column became the 1996 book Sex and the City and, in turn, the HBO series that defined a generation's idea of dating, friendship, and ambition in New York. She created Carrie Bradshaw and has spent the decades since writing novels (Lipstick Jungle, The Carrie Diaries, Is There Still Sex in the City?) and touring a one-woman stage show. Nearly thirty years on, she remains one of the sharpest chroniclers of money, sex, and single life.
